Recently I had the honour of Nic Dunlop, photographer, author and film maker, come and speak to our Basic Digital Photography (PHOT 1010) class. Mr. Dunlop was kind enough to leave our media students some advice after his presentation.
It has been a busy September! I have been invited to participate at PechaKucha Accra!!! The first PechaKucha Night was held in Tokyo in February, 2003 and encourages creativity and sharing of ideas. PechaKucha now takes place in 900 cities around the world.
Vol. 3 PechaKucha Accra will be their Photography Edition and I have been invited to share my work of the Headhunters of Nagaland.

Had a great session discussing social media pros and cons for businesses at the recent Campus Thought Leadership Seminar. ‘Evolution of WhatsApp as a business Tool’ was our main topic but the discussion ventured off into all forms of new media. It was a great please to talk with speakers Francis Kofigah, CEO Dough Man Foods, and Kojo Nyame Biney, Co-Head, Online Digital Marketing, Ringier Ghana(Pulse.com.gh). Very interesting to see how new media is used in other countries. A special thank you to the outstanding moderator Desmond Frimpong, Writer (Business Insider SSA), for the great follow up topics and often keeping us inline.
I was very excited to be invited to lead Webster University Ghana's very first Webster Talks. Webster Talks is an event which invites experts in particular fields to discuss topics with the student body and takes place at all of Webster University's campuses world wide.
I was invited on the topic of Internet and Social Media Safety and Responsibility. What was meant to be a 30 minute discussion turned out to be a 1 hour and half talk and debate. It is always interesting to talk with young students about the long term factors of social media posts and the immediate dangers of posting content. We also discussed the positive aspects and how to harvest this powerful tool.
I am currently teaching at the Webster University Ghana campus in Accra for 8 weeks. I was recently awarded the Leif J. Sverdrup Global Teaching Fellowship to teach abroad. I have only been here for three weeks but it has been a very exciting and busy three weeks.
Excited to be a speaker for the upcoming event 'Evolution of WhatsApp as a Business Tool' by new media news organization Pulse Ghana.Read More
Recently I was hired by Lanna Freeman, a young and upcoming model, singer, actor, to make a video helping her promote the province of Prachuap Khirikhan, Thailand. Lanna wants more Thai people to visit the beautiful sites of this amazing province. In this video we visited Ao Manao, Bung Bua Lotus Ponds and Kui Buri national park.
We had one day to film at all locations unfortunately we hit a rainy day which meant limited time spent at the lotus pond. I was aided by Charlie Stevens on day of shooting. All post production took place using Adobe Premiere CC (2017).
